Hey guys, quick tip - always wear safety glasses when draining your compressor tank. I got hit with a blast of rusty water yesterday and it could have been bad. Anyone else had close calls?

Great reminder Paul! I always use a piece of cardboard to deflect the spray too. Prevents making a mess in the shop.

Second that. I always wear my full face shield when draining. That crud can be nasty if it gets in your eyes. Also, make sure to drain regularly to avoid excessive rust buildup.

I learned the hard way - got a face full of oily water last year. Now I use a remote drain valve so I can stand back. Worth the $20.

Remote drain sounds nice! Might have to look into that. For now I'll stick with the safety squints and cardboard trick. Thanks all!
