Found a screaming deal on a 60gal compressor - worth it?

So I was at a pawn shop today and spotted a Craftsman 60 gal, 3.7 HP compressor. They had it marked at $350 but I got them down to $250. It's a bit used, looks like it's been on a job site but runs smooth. Is this a good deal? I mainly do woodworking, need something for occasional nailers and blowing dust. Should I pull the trigger?

Whoa! $250 for a 60 gal? That's a steal if it's in good shape. I paid twice that for my 26 gal and I'm jealous. I'd say grab it before someone else does. Even if you don't need all that capacity now, you'll find uses. Plus, you can always sell it later for more. Just check for leaks and make sure the tank isn't rusted out. If it's good, you're set for life.

Definitely worth it! I'm an apprentice and I use a 60 gal at work. Those things are workhorses. At $250, even if you have to put a little work into it, you're ahead. Just check the drain valve and make sure the pressure switch engages properly. Also, listen for any weird noises when it kicks on. If it runs smooth, you got a bargain. I'd jump on it.

Thanks guys! I listened for weird noises, checked the tank for rust, and it all seems good. I think I'm gonna go for it. The guy said he'd hold it till tomorrow. Appreciate the advice!
