Just a friendly reminder folks - always wear your safety glasses when using air compressors. I was blowing out some dust with a blow gun yesterday and a tiny piece of debris flew right into my eye. Luckily I had glasses on, but it still scared the heck out of me. So please, don't be lazy, protect those peepers!

Totally agree! I always keep a pair of cheap safety glasses near the compressor. And don't forget ear protection too if you're running it for a while. My neighbor didn't and now he's got tinnitus. Not fun.

Yeah, I learned that lesson the hard way. Once I got a staple in my cheek from a nail gun hooked up to the compressor. Could've been my eye. Now I never even walk into the garage without my goggles on. Better safe than sorry.

Good advice, Pete. I've been in the trade for 30+ years and I can't stress this enough. Safety glasses are a must. Also, make sure you're using the right pressure for the job - too high can cause things to explode. And always drain the tank regularly. Rust and water are no joke.
