Hey all, just a friendly reminder: ALWAYS wear your safety glasses when working on cars. I was using a spring compressor today and that sucker slipped. A piece flew right past my face. If I hadn't had my glasses on, I'd be blind right now. Seriously, don't skip the PPE.

Preach it, Sam! I always wear my DeWalt safety glasses. They're cheap and worth every penny. Seen too many guys lose an eye to a flying bolt or a stray wire.

What kind of glasses do you recommend? I just use the cheap ones from the auto parts store, but they fog up a lot.

I like the anti-fog ones from 3M. They're a bit more expensive, but they don't fog up even when I'm sweating under the car. Also, if you're using a grinder or cutting anything, get a face shield too. Learned that the hard way when a grinding disc shattered near my face.

Yeah, Gary, I second what Chris said. Anti-fog is the way to go. And if you wear prescription glasses, get some over-glasses that wrap around. I've seen people try to skip safety glasses because they wear regular specs, but that's no excuse. Your regular glasses aren't impact rated!
