Hey all, just saw this deal pop up online - 20V MAX XR Brushless Cordless Impact Wrench, 1/2", normally like $250, on sale for $149 with a free battery. I've been wanting one for my weekend truck projects (changing tires, suspension work, etc.). Seems like a steal, but wanted to check if anyone's used this model or knows about reliability? Link's in my bio if you wanna check it out.

OP, I've run that exact model on job sites for about 2 years now. It's solid for light to medium duty - great for lug nuts, brake calipers, stuff like that. At $149 with a battery, that's a legit deal. Just make sure it's from an authorized dealer so you get the warranty. If you're doing heavy truck work regularly, you might want more torque, but for weekend stuff, it'll serve you well. I've put mine through hell and it's still kicking.

Before you buy, Dan155, check a few things: 1) Verify the battery is genuine DeWalt - knockoffs can be fire hazards. 2) Make sure the torque settings are clear and you understand how to use them - over-torquing lug nuts can warp rotors or cause wheel failure. 3) Always use impact-rated sockets with it, not regular ones. Safety first! If it's from a reputable seller, it sounds like a good find, but do your due diligence.

Thanks for the input! Dan929, good to hear it holds up - I'm mostly doing my F-150 and helping friends with their cars, so sounds perfect. Sarah, great points - the seller is a big box store, so should be legit, and I've got impact sockets already. Just pulled the trigger on it. Appreciate the advice, folks!

Nice! Let us know how it works out. Pro tip: keep the battery charged between uses, even if you're not using it for a while - extends the life. And yeah, what Sarah said about the sockets is key. Happy wrenching!
