Hey all, my Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact wrench just started stalling under load. It's only a year old, battery charges fine but when I try to remove lugnuts it just stops. Tried different batteries - same issue. Any ideas before I send it in?

Could be the brushes or the trigger contacts. I had a similar issue with my old Dewalt - turned out the carbon brushes were worn. Check those first, easy fix. Also, make sure the anvil isn't binding up.

Yeah, what Bob said. But if it's still under warranty, just send it in. Milwaukee is good about that. I had a fuel drill that did that - turned out the controller board fried. They replaced it no questions asked.

Thanks guys. It's just past the 1 year mark, so warranty might be iffy. I'll crack it open and check the brushes. If that doesn't work, I'll call Milwaukee. Appreciate the help!
