Just saw this article about Harbor Freight's new $45 handheld vacuum. Claims it makes cleaning car interiors a breeze. For that price, I'm tempted to grab one. Anyone have experience with it or similar cheap handhelds? Worth it or just another dust collector?

I picked one up last week. Honestly, for $45 it's not bad. Suction is decent for crumbs and dust, but don't expect it to replace a shop vac. The attachments are flimsy though. Good enough for quick touch-ups between detailing sessions.

I own like 5 different handheld vacs lol. This one is ok but the battery life is meh. If you're only using it for car interiors it'll do. I prefer my $60 Black+Decker for a bit more. But for budget minded it's a solid choice.

Thanks guys! Might give it a shot. The price is right. Just need something to keep the dog hair under control. DrillMaster889, how's the filter cleaning? Easy to maintain?

Filter is washable, which is nice. Just pop it out and rinse. Dries quick. No complaints there. Just don't overfill it or it loses suction. Overall a decent little gadget for the money.
