Just saw this article about Webber Family Motors expanding and adding two car washes. Anyone know what brand of vacuums they'll be using? Hope they get some decent ones, not those weak 2hp units.

I've worked with Webber on their service bays. They usually go with commercial grade stuff. Bet they'll put in those Metro Vac N' Go or similar. Good for quick cleanup, but not as powerful as a shop vac. Still, for a car wash bay they'll do the job.

Yeah, but the problem with those is the filters clog fast. If they're doing two washes, they better have a good maintenance plan. I'd rather see them use a cyclone setup. But hey, it's a dealership, not a detailing shop.

I'm just glad to see more car washes in the area. My old shop vac at home is on its last legs. Maybe I'll check out their vacuums if they're open to the public. Anyone know if they'll have a DIY bay?

Good point, DrillMaster. If they have DIY bays with strong vacs, I might use 'em for the interior. Just hope they don't charge an arm and a leg.
