Just read this article about the best cordless vacuums for 2026. Seems like they're getting more powerful and longer lasting. I'm in the market for a car vacuum, and I'm wondering if cordless is the way to go. Any thoughts? Here's the link: [link]

I've been using a cordless shop vac for years in my truck. Honestly, for quick cleanups, it's a lifesaver. But if you've got a lot of pet hair or dirt, you might want something with more suction. I'd look for one with a crevice tool and a brush attachment, those are essential for car interiors.

I agree with Paul. I've got a cheap cordless one from a big box store, and it does the job for crumbs and dust. But for deep cleaning, I still use my corded shop vac. The batteries just don't last long enough for a full detail. Plus, you gotta remember to charge it, otherwise you're SOL when you need it.

I've been looking at those new ones with the digital motors and lithium batteries. They say they have 60 minutes of run time, but that's probably at low power. If you're gonna use it on max, you'll get maybe 15-20 minutes. For a quick vacuum between jobs, it's fine. But for a full interior, you'll be charging halfway through.

Thanks for the input, guys. I'm leaning towards getting one for convenience, but I'll keep my corded one for the heavy stuff. Any specific models you'd recommend? The article mentioned some top picks, but I'd like real-world opinions.
