Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a cordless car vacuum. I've narrowed it down to the DeWalt 20V MAX and the Makita 18V LXT. I'm on a budget, so I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck. Any thoughts?

I've used both on job sites. For a car vacuum, you really need suction power and battery life. Makita's 18V tends to have better runtime, but DeWalt's newer models have improved. Honestly, if you already have batteries in one system, stick with that. If not, check the specs on the specific models you're looking at.

I'm on a budget too, so I went with the Makita because it was on sale. It's been fine for my SUV. But I've heard DeWalt's filter is easier to clean. Just make sure you get the one with the crevice tool and brush attachment.

I'm not a pro, but I've owned both. DeWalt's vacuum feels more powerful, but eats batteries. Makita is more efficient. If you're doing quick cleanups, either works. Maybe look at the CFM specs and compare.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go with the DeWalt since I already have a few 20V batteries. Appreciate the input!
