Hey all, was browsing online and stumbled on this 'ProClean 8000' car vacuum for only $49.99 (usually $129). Has a 5HP motor, 20ft cord, and comes with a bunch of attachments. Seems like a steal for detailing my sedan and truck. Anyone have experience with this brand or think I should jump on it? Link: bit.ly/proclean8000deal

OP, I'd be careful. Never heard of ProClean and that price drop is huge - smells like cheap internals or refurbished units. Stick with known brands like DeWalt or Milwaukee if you want something that lasts. My DeWalt car vac has been running strong for 8 years, even after sucking up wood chips and drywall dust. You get what you pay for.

Steve's got a point on brand reliability, but for $50? Might be worth a shot for light use. I grabbed a no-name shop vac last year for my garage and it's held up fine for car interiors and small spills. Check the warranty and return policy - if they offer 30 days, you could test it out. Just don't expect it to handle heavy debris like Steve's DeWalt.

Jump on it! I've been using a $30 hyper-tough vac from wally world for 3 years and it still works. Attachments are key - make sure it has a crevice tool and brush. For $50 with those specs, you can't go wrong. Even if it dies in 2 years, that's like $25/year. Way cheaper than taking cars to the detailer.

Bob, that's exactly the mindset that leads to buying twice. Spend $150 once on quality instead of $50 every few years. Plus, my DeWalt attachments fit my other tools - ecosystem matters. OP, at least check if it's UL listed for safety. Some off-brands skip certifications.
