Just saw this article about the new Harbor Freight handheld vacuum. $45 seems pretty cheap for something that claims to make cleaning car interiors a breeze. Has anyone tried it yet? I'm a bit skeptical, but if it works, it might be a good addition to my detailing kit. What do you all think?

I haven't tried that one specifically, but a word of caution: cheap handhelds often have weak suction and crappy batteries. That $45 price tag makes me wonder if it's worth it. I've had better luck with a shop vac and a crevice tool for car interiors. But for quick touch-ups maybe? Let us know if you test it out.

I've been using a cordless DeWalt hand vac for years, and it's been solid. Harbor Freight stuff is hit or miss, but sometimes you get a diamond in the rough. For $45, it might be fine if you only need it for small messes. But if it breaks in a month, don't say we didn't warn ya. I'm curious about the battery life though.

Just bought one last week. I was skeptical too, but honestly, it's kinda great! Suction is enough for crumbs and dirt. The battery lasts about 15 minutes which is fine for my car. I don't expect it to be a pro tool, but for the price, it's a good deal. Plus, the filter is washable, which is a plus. I'd say give it a shot.
