Hey folks, just had a close call with my Stihl MS 261 yesterday - kickback nearly got me. Reminded me how crucial PPE is. I always wear chaps, helmet with face shield, and gloves, but what do you all swear by? Anyone have a game-changer piece of gear they won't cut without?

Precision matters in safety too, Tim. I use Husqvarna's Technical Forestry Helmet System - the mesh visor is optically perfect, no distortion. For chaps, I prefer Pfanner's Arborist ones; the cut-resistant layers are rated for 27 m/s chain speed. Don't forget hearing protection - I decibel-tested my earmuffs to ensure proper attenuation.

On job sites, OSHA requires chaps, eye/face protection, hard hat, gloves, and steel-toes. But honestly? Most guys skip something. I've seen too many injuries from 'quick cuts.' My rule: full kit every time, even for 5-minute jobs. The Stihl Pro Mark helmet is my go-to - comfortable for 8-hour days.

Garage warrior here! I modded my helmet with a GoPro mount for recording projects lol. But seriously - after testing 3 brands, Oregon's chaps saved my leg when my old Poulan kicked back. Also, anti-vibration gloves are underrated if you're cutting all day. Anyone try those new carbon-fiber reinforced boots?
