Found a deal on a Stihl MS 170 – too good to be true?

So I was browsing FB Marketplace and saw a Stihl MS 170 for $120. Looks barely used. Guy says it was his dad's and he doesn't need it. I've been wanting a small saw for around the yard. Think it's worth it? Anything I should look out for?

That's a solid price if it's in good shape. The MS 170 is a great little saw for limbing and firewood. Check the bar for wear, make sure it starts cold and runs smooth. Also, listen for any weird noises. If it's clean, grab it before someone else does!

I'd second that. Just make sure it's not stolen or anything. Ask for the serial number maybe? Also, check the chain tensioner works. Those are cheap to fix but annoying. If it runs, $120 is a steal.

Thanks guys. I'll ask for the serial and maybe see if he can send a vid of it starting. I'll report back if I get it!
