Volunteer Chainsaws? Anyone heard of this?

Came across this article about a guy who's been a volunteer ambassador for Teton Pass for 15 years. They call him the 'Summer Mayor' lol. But I'm wondering if any of y'all have seen volunteer-run chainsaw crews or something similar. Seems like a cool way to give back while getting some saw time. Thoughts?

That's awesome! But I gotta say, volunteer chainsaw work sounds risky. Make sure you have proper PPE and training before jumping in. I've seen too many accidents with people who think they know what they're doing. Safety first, always.

I've done some volunteer trail clearing with my old Stihl. It's gratifying work, but you need to respect the saw and the conditions. That Roberts fella probably knows his stuff after 15 years. Good on him.

Yeah, I'd definitely gear up right. Maybe I'll look into local groups. Felix, any tips for getting started with that kind of thing?
