Hey all, quick safety reminder. I was drilling some metal today and a shard flew right into my cheek—luckily I had my safety glasses on. Seriously, always wear eye pro. Anyone got horror stories or PPE tips?

Hank, preach! I see so many guys on site skipping glasses. I always wear a face shield too when drilling overhead—keeps the dust outta your hair and eyes. And ear plugs if I'm gonna be at it for a while.

I had a coworker get a metal splinter in his eye once. Cost him a whole week of work. Now I'm religious about ANSI-rated goggles, especially for masonry drilling. Also, don't forget gloves—hot metal chips hurt like hell.

I've got a tip: get a pair with anti-fog coating. Nothin' worse than steam from your breath fogging up your vision mid-drill. Also, I use a magnetic tray to catch metal swarf so I don't step on it later.

Great advice, all! I just ordered some anti-fog ones. Sarah, that magnetic tray idea is genius. Stay safe out there!
