Hey folks, I'm planning to build a 12x16 deck next month. It'll be pressure-treated lumber. I need a drill that can handle deck screws all day without dying. Cordless, preferably. Budget around $150-200. What do you guys recommend?

Go with DeWalt hands down. Their DCD791 is a beast for deck screws. I've built three decks with mine and it's still going strong. Get the 5Ah batteries, trust me.

If you're doing that many screws, get a proper impact driver, not just a drill. I'm a Makita guy – the XDT13Z is light and has tons of torque. Pair it with their drill for pilot holes. Spend a bit extra, you won't regret it.

Honestly, for a deck you'd be fine with a good mid-range like Bosch or Metabo HPT. But if you want to splurge, my Festool T18+3 is crazy good – but out of your budget. For that price, maybe look at a Dewalt or Makita kit on sale.

Thanks all! I'm leaning towards the Makita set Steve mentioned. Pete, I wish I could afford Festool lol. Anyone have experience with Ryobi? They're cheap...
