So I was browsing FB Marketplace and saw a guy selling the DeWalt DCD999 (the 20V Max XR brushless hammer drill) for only $80. It's barely used, comes with two 5Ah batteries and a charger. Retail is like $300+! He says his wife made him sell it cause he has too many tools. Is this a steal or a scam? Anyone have experience with this drill?

Dude, sounds legit if it's in good shape. I have the DCD996 and that thing is a beast. The 999 is even better with the kickback brake thing. At $80 it's a no brainer. Just make sure it's not stolen or something. Ask for serial number and test it out.

I'd cop it quick. That drill is a workhorse. I've put mine through hell framing and doing decks and it still runs perfect. The only downside is it's heavy, but you get used to it. For the price you basically getting the batteries for free. Batteries alone cost more than $80 new.

I've got the same drill for landscaping projects - building retaining walls, drilling into concrete. It's overkill for most things but nice to have the power. Check the serial number online maybe? If it's not hot, grab it. And if you don't want it, flip it for profit lol.
