Hey folks, was browsing Craigslist and stumbled on a Milwaukee M18 Fuel drill/driver combo for $150. Seller says it's lightly used, comes with 2 batteries and charger. Normally retails for like $300+. Seems like a steal, but I'm worried it might be stolen or have hidden issues. What do you all think? Worth checking out or should I pass?

Whoa, that IS a sweet deal if legit! I've got that same set - absolute beast for DIY projects. Before you jump, ask for the serial number and check if it's registered. Also, meet in a public spot and test it thoroughly. Bring a bit and a scrap piece of wood to see how it drives. If the batteries hold charge and it doesn't make weird noises, might be a score. But yeah, trust your gut - if something feels off, walk away.

lol dave, i'd be all over that for my shop. welding doesn't need drills much but i use mine for fab work all the time. milwaukee's tough as nails. ask if they have the receipt or original box - sometimes ppl just need quick cash. i got a barely used angle grinder last year half off, no probs. just dont go alone, bring a buddy. and check the battery contacts for corrosion!

Thanks guys! Good call on the serial number and testing - I'll ask for that. Seller says they're moving and downsizing tools, which seems plausible. Greg, I'll definitely bring a friend. If it checks out, this'll be a huge upgrade from my old corded drill. Appreciate the advice!

No prob! Let us know how it goes. And hey, if you get it, remember to register it with Milwaukee for the warranty - sometimes it transfers. Happy drilling!
