Hey folks, just a friendly reminder to always wear your safety glasses when using drills. I was drilling into some metal today and a hot chip flew right into my eye. Luckily I had glasses on, but it got me thinking - how many of you actually wear PPE every time? Let's share tips and tricks to stay safe.

Great reminder! I'm a stickler for safety - I never start a drill without my Z87+ rated glasses on. But also, don't forget ear protection for impact drills, and a dust mask when drilling into concrete or drywall. That fine dust is nasty stuff.

You know it, Dave! Safety first, always. I've been drilling for 20 years and I've seen too many accidents from folks skipping the glasses. I even have a pair attached to my drill case so I never forget. Also, invest in a good pair - the cheap ones fog up and you end up taking them off.

Good point, Hank! I actually upgraded to anti-fog ones because I get sweaty when working. Also, don't forget to check your glasses for scratches - they can distort vision and cause issues.

And if you wear prescription glasses, make sure you have over-glasses goggles or a face shield. Your everyday glasses aren't impact-rated. I learned that the hard way when a chunk of wood hit my lens and cracked it.
