Just picked up a DeWalt 20V Max cordless drill from Home Depot for $99! It's the DCD771C2 with two batteries and a charger. Was on clearance. I mostly do light DIY and some woodworking. Is this a good deal or did I waste my money? Any thoughts?

Man, that's a steal! That's normally $149 or more. I bought the same one a year ago and it's been a workhorse. Mine's taken a beating and still runs like new. You'll love it for drilling holes and driving screws. Just make sure you get decent bits, that makes a huge difference.

You done good, Rick. DeWalt's 20V line is solid. I use their impact driver on the job daily and it's never let me down. That drill will handle most anything you throw at it. For $99, you basically stole it. Now go find the matching impact driver for a combo set!

Ha, thanks guys! I was second-guessing because I saw a Ryobi kit for the same price with three tools. But I figure the DeWalt is better quality. I'll probably pick up the impact driver next time there's a sale. Appreciate the advice!

Definitely better than Ryobi, no offense to Ryobi fans. DeWalt is more pro-grade. And once you're on the 20V platform, you can get all kinds of bare tools for cheap. Check out the blower or the reciprocating saw later. The batteries work across everything.
