What PPE do you use when drilling into concrete?

Hey all, just got a new SDS drill and I'm about to tackle some concrete walls. I've got safety glasses, but should I be wearing a respirator too? The dust is crazy.

Man, you definitely need a respirator. I learned that the hard way after coughing up dust for a week. Get a P100 rated one. Also, ear plugs are a must, those hammer drills are loud as hell.

I second the respirator. Silica dust from concrete is no joke - can cause silicosis. Also consider a dust shroud attachment for your vac. And always wear gloves, those bits get hot.

If you're drilling concrete, you should also use a depth stop to avoid hitting rebar or pipes. And mark your spots with a pencil, not a punch, to avoid cracking the surface. Overkill? Maybe. But I like precision.

Thanks guys, good advice. I'll grab a respirator and some ear pro. And Hank666, I'll definitely use a depth stop, never thought about hitting rebar.
