Hey guys, my Dewalt 20V max drill battery won't charge. It's only a few months old, and I've tried different outlets and the charger flashes red. Any tips before I buy a new one?

Hey, could be a dead cell. Try leaving it on the charger for 10-15 mins, sometimes it resets. If that doesn't work, measure voltage with a multimeter – should be around 18-20V. If it's way low, might be toast.

Also check the contacts on the battery and charger for dirt or corrosion. Use a pencil eraser to clean them. If it's still under warranty, Dewalt might replace it.

Thanks guys! I tried the eraser trick and left it on the charger – it started charging after 20 mins. Must have been a deep discharge. Appreciate the help!

No problem! Glad it worked. For future, don't drain it completely before charging if you can avoid it.
