Hey all, was browsing the usual online spots and stumbled on what looks like a crazy deal - a brand new 20V Max cordless impact driver with two 4.0Ah batteries and a charger for $99. Normally see that kit for like $200+. Seller has decent ratings but I'm a bit skeptical. Anyone have experience with this model or think it's worth jumping on? My old one's on its last legs.

$99 for that kit? That's insane if legit. I'd check if it's refurbished or maybe a older model being cleared out. Sometimes you can find those 'too good' deals right before a new version drops. If it's truly new with warranty, I'd say go for it - budget win! Just make sure return policy is solid in case.

Which brand/model exactly? I've got 14 impact drivers in my collection (yes, I counted lol) and can tell you if it's worth it. Some of the budget-friendly ones have weak chucks or poor battery life. At $99 with two batteries though, even if it's mid-tier, that's collector territory for me. Might grab one just to add to the wall!

Precision matters here. Cheap impacts often have sloppy anvils and inconsistent torque. I'd need to know the exact specs - max torque, RPM, if it has multiple speed settings. That price screams 'compromises'. Check if it's brushless at least. My two cents: sometimes a deal isn't a deal if it fails when you need it most.

Thanks for the input! It's the HyperDrive Pro 20V (brushless). Specs say 1800 in-lbs torque, 3 speed settings. Seller claims new in box with full warranty. Bob - you have this one? Sam685 - I hear you on precision, but for garage projects and occasional auto work, think it'll hold up? Might pull the trigger tonight.
