Hey guys, been using my 18V brushless drill for a year now, and lately it stalls out under load, even with a fresh battery. Battery indicator shows full but it just stops spinning for a sec then resumes. Anyone seen this?

Sounds like a battery problem to me. What brand? My Dewalt did that and a new battery fixed it. Have you tried another pack? I'm a Milwaukee guy now though.

Could be the clutch slipping or a loose wire inside. Check the chuck for debris and make sure the collet is tight. If it's brushless, might be a Hall sensor acting up. I'd open it up and inspect.

Before you tear it apart, check the battery contacts for corrosion and make sure the tool's vents aren't clogged. Overheating can cause thermal protection to kick in. Also, are you using the right battery for that tool? Some wont deliver full amps.

Thanks all. Battery is OEM, contacts look clean. Might try cleaning the vents and see. If not, I'll crack it open. Appreciate the help!
