Always wear your PPE, guys!

Hey y'all, been using my new angle grinder for a week now. Was cutting some metal yesterday and a piece flew off and hit my safety glasses. Glad I had them on! Anyone else have close calls?

Yeah, PPE is a must but it doesn't have to break the bank. I got a 3-pack of basic safety glasses at Harbor Freight for like $5. They fog up a bit but better than nothing. Also, earplugs are cheap too.

Agreed. I see too many guys skipping it. I always wear a full face shield, gloves, and respirator if I'm grinding. Had a buddy get a wire brush fragment in his eye - not pretty. Spend the money, it's worth it.

Good advice guys. I'm looking at getting a better respirator. The one I have is for dust but not fumes. Any recommendations for a good one that doesn't cost a fortune?
