Hey everyone, I've got a DeWalt 20V angle grinder, and the battery won't charge at all. I plug it in, the charger shows green, but the battery doesn't take a charge. I've tried two different batteries, and both are dead. Any ideas? I'm going crazy here.

Have you tried a different charger? Sometimes the charger itself is the problem. Also, check the contacts on the battery and charger for dirt or corrosion. A little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip can clean them up.

Also, make sure the battery isn't completely dead. If it's been sitting for a long time, the charger might not recognize it. You can try 'jump-starting' it by connecting it to another battery in parallel for a minute, but that's a bit risky. Better to check if it's under warranty.

I had a similar issue with my grinder once - turned out the battery cells were unbalanced. I left it on the charger for 24 hours and it finally took a charge. But if that doesn't work, might be time for a new battery. Check the voltage with a multimeter if you can.
