Hey folks, just a reminder: don't forget ear protection when mowing! I know it's not a table saw, but those gas engines can hit 90+ dB. I've been using some cheap foam plugs, but thinking of upgrading to electronic muffs. Anyone got recommendations?

Tim, you're spot on. I used to think ear pro was only for the shop until my tinnitus kicked in. Now I wear these ISOtunes Bluetooth ear buds – they let you hear ambient sound but cut the loud noise. Great for mowing and still hearing the wife yell at me for missing a spot lol.

I double up: foamies under my DeWalt muffs when I'm on the zero-turn. Also, don't forget eye pro! Kicked up a rock last summer that hit my safety glasses. Could've been bad. Stay safe out there.

Good point Bob. I've had my share of debris near the eyes. Wendy, those ISOtunes look interesting – how's the battery life? I usually mow for about an hour.

Tim, I get about 8 hours on a charge, so an hour is no problem. They charge via USB-C too. Only downside is they're not as low profile under a helmet if you wear one. But for mowing, they're perfect.
