Just saw this article about Toyota patenting a heart rate detector for cars. Sounds like overkill to me, but hey, maybe it's for safety? What do y'all think? https://example.com/article

Bet it's just a fancy way to sell more sensors. But if it helps detect drowsy drivers, I'm all for it. Still, I'd rather see better battery tech for my cordless tools.

As a garage geek, I'm intrigued. Probably uses IR or something. Could be cool to integrate with custom builds, like a pulse monitor for your hot rod. But yeah, typical Toyota patent - overengineered.

On the job site, we already got enough gadgets. Keep it simple. A reliable tape measurer and a speed square is all I need. Heart rate detection? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Good point, DrillMaster. But maybe it's for those automated driving systems? Either way, I'll stick to my trusty calipers. No need for biometrics in my workshop!
