Just scored a digital angle finder for $25 - too good to be true?

Hey folks, was browsing the local hardware store's clearance aisle and found this 'ProGrade Digital Angle Finder' marked down from $89 to $25. Box was a little dented but sealed. I've been wanting one for my miter saw setup but never pulled the trigger at full price. Anyone have experience with this brand or think it's worth grabbing? Seems like a steal but worried it might be junk.

Rick, in my 40 years on job sites, I've learned that cheap measuring tools cost you more in messed-up cuts. That said, for $25, might be okay for hobby use. Check if it has a calibration feature - crucial for accuracy. My old Starrett protractor never failed me, but tech has changed. If it holds zero and has easy battery access, could be decent.

Thanks guys! Dave - it says it has auto-calibration, not sure how reliable that is. Carl - YES magnetic base, that's what caught my eye. Just looked up reviews - mixed bag, some say it drifts after a few months but others love it. Might grab it just to test and return if it's awful. Appreciate the input!

Auto-calibration sounds gimmicky. For $25, treat it as disposable - if it lasts a year, you got your money's worth. Just don't trust it for fine furniture or critical framing without verifying with a trusted square. Let us know how it works out!
