Hey guys, just a heads up. Was measuring some metal studs the other day with a tape measure, and the edge was sharp as heck. Sliced my finger open pretty good. Now I always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling metal or even rough lumber. Safety first, folks!

Dude, that's a good tip. I usually wear gloves when cutting or sanding, but I never thought about measuring. I'll keep that in mind. Do you use any specific kind of gloves, or just any work gloves?

Gloves are a must, but also make sure you're not wearing loose gloves when using power tools. And for measuring, I'd add that you should watch out for the hook on your tape. It can snag and cause you to slip. Always announce where you're measuring so nobody steps into your path. Stay safe!

Good point, Larry! I use a pair of mechanix-style gloves, they're pretty dexterous but still protect. And yeah, I've had the tape hook catch on my belt loop before, almost tripped. Always check your surroundings. Stay safe, guys!
