So I was at the local Habitat ReStore and found a Bosch Blaze GLM 50 C laser measure, barely used, for $50! Retail is like $150+. It came with the case and a charger, but no manual. I already have a basic tape measure, but this thing seems sweet with Bluetooth. Anyone use one? Is it worth keeping or should I flip it?

Dude, that's a steal! I've been using the Bosch GLM 50 for a couple years now. It's spot on for measuring rooms, tile layouts, and even outside distances. The Bluetooth to the app is handy for saving measurements, but honestly I usually just read the screen. For $50, keep it. You won't regret it. Just check the batteries, and maybe watch a video for the basic functions. You'll probably wonder how you lived without it.

I second that. I've got the same model and it's a workhorse on job sites. Quick, accurate, and tough enough to survive a few drops. The only thing I'd check is if the calibration is still good. You can test it against a known distance, like a 10' wall. If it's off, there's a recalibration mode in the manual. But yeah, for that price, definitely a keeper. I paid $120 for mine and it was worth every penny.

Ha! I saw one at my local ReStore the other day, but it was tagged at $75. You beat me to it. Good find, Gary. As a contractor, I use laser measures all the time for estimates. They save so much time. If you're just a weekend warrior, you might find a good excuse to use it, but if you think you'll ever sell it, you could make a few bucks. But honestly, having a laser measure in your toolbox is always handy. Keep it and put it to work.

Alright, you guys convinced me. I'll keep it. I figure I can use it for my woodworking projects and maybe when I'm planning out my garage shelving. I'll test the calibration against my tape measure. If it's good, it's a keeper. Thanks for the input! Now I've got $50 less in my pocket but a killer tool instead.
