Toyota's heart rate sensor? How's that measure up?

Just saw this article about Toyota patenting a heart rate detection system for vehicles. Seems like a leap from measuring RPMs to measuring pulses! Anyone else think this is a bit of a stretch for a car? Link: https://example.com

Interesting, but what does that have to do with DIY or power tools? Unless they're gonna put heart rate monitors on saws to stop em if you get too excited! Haha.

Back in my day, we measured our heart rate by how fast we ran from the boss. But seriously, this could be useful for fatigue detection in commercial trucks. Safety first, even if it's not a tool I'd buy at Home Depot.

I'm all for innovation, but I'd rather see better battery tech for my cordless tools than a car that knows my heart rate. Maybe they can integrate it into a smart tape measure? 'You're stressed because you cut it too short!' Lol.

Good points all around. I guess I just like seeing new measuring tech, even if it's not for wood. Maybe one day we'll have a laser measure that also checks your blood pressure! 😂
