Just saw this article about the tuna can test for watering lawns. Sounds like a neat trick to avoid overwatering. Has anyone here actually tried it? I'm always worried about killing my grass with too much water.

I've used the tuna can method for years! Simple but effective. Set out a few cans, run the sprinkler, and when they're full you know you've got about an inch. Beats guessing. Plus it's cheap.

Wait, you're supposed to water lawns with a sprinkler? I thought the best way was to let nature do it. But seriously, the tuna can test seems legit. Just make sure you're not using a rusty can that could contaminate the grass.

I dunno, seems like overcomplicating things. Just stick a screwdriver in the soil and if it's damp you're good. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Might be useful for newbies.
