Hey all, just a quick reminder – I see a lot of folks using pliers without gloves, especially when twisting wire or cutting. I just had a close call where a pair of linesman's slipped and I nearly sliced my finger. Always wear cut-resistant gloves, folks! It's not worth the risk.

Good reminder, Dan. I'm a bit budget-conscious, but I picked up a decent pair of cut-resistant gloves at Harbor Freight for under $10. They've saved me more than once. Plus, they help with grip on oily pliers.

I hear ya, but I never wear gloves when using pliers – feels like I lose dexterity. Unless I'm doing heavy twisting, then I'll throw on some gloves. Anyone else feel the same?

Rick, I get the dexterity thing. I used to think that too, but the glove I got has a good fit and I barely notice it now. The day I almost sliced my finger was enough for me. Better to adjust than to lose a finger, right?
