Anyone else wear cut-resistant gloves when using pliers?

I know it's basic, but I just started using cut-resistant gloves with my new Knipex pliers. After a couple close calls, I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. PPE is no joke, right?

Absolutely, Sam. Gloves are a must. I always go with Klein for both pliers and gloves. Their materials feel more durable than off-brands. Saved my hands more than once when a wire slipped.

Funny you mention it, I was restoring an old vise and using my granddad's rusty pliers without gloves. Big mistake, got a nasty cut. Now I always wear at least nitrile gloves, but cut-resistant are better for gripping. Good tip.

Yes! I also add safety glasses. Had a piece of metal fly off while cutting a zip tie with dykes. Now I suit up like I'm in a hazmat zone lol. Better safe than sorry.
