Hey everyone, was browsing online and stumbled on a set of Knipex Cobra pliers for like 40% off at one of those random tool sites. Normally they're way out of my budget for my home workshop, but this seems like a steal. Anyone have experience with these? Are they worth jumping on, or is this probably some knockoff junk? Link looks legit but you never know...

Knipex is top tier, no question. If it's real, grab it. I've had my set for 5 years and they still bite like new. But be careful - there are a lot of fakes out there. Check the seller reviews. If it's not from an authorized dealer, I'd be skeptical. Personally, I only buy from trusted suppliers even if it costs more. You get what you pay for.

Professionally, Knipex is in my daily bag. That price does sound suspicious for new gear. Could be B-stock or refurbished, which isn't necessarily bad. Ask the seller for product codes and manufacturing dates. Also, what's the return policy? If they won't take returns, red flag. For DIY use, even a slightly imperfect pair would serve you well, but verify before you commit.

Thanks both! Seller has mixed reviews, some say tools arrived fine, others complained about shipping. They claim it's new in box. Think I'll pass after hearing this - not worth the headache if it's fake. Maybe I'll save up for a legit pair. Appreciate the advice!

Smart move. Check out [reputable store] next month, they often have seasonal sales on Knipex. It's worth waiting for the real deal. Once you use genuine ones, you'll never go back to cheap pliers!
