Just saw this deal on the Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit MX for $121 with free shipping. I've been eyeing a good multitool for my work belt, but I'm not sure if this one's worth the hype. Anyone have experience with it?

I've had the Spirit (not the MX) for years. Quality is top-notch, but $121 is steep. For that price, you could get a Leatherman Wave or something. Unless you really need 25 functions, it's overkill. But if you're a collector or need the best, go for it.

I use the Spirit MX daily on the job. The pliers are superb, and the tool steel holds up to abuse. It's pricey, but it's an investment that pays off if you use it professionally. Just don't lose it like I did my first one! The sheath is a must-have.

Retired carpenter here. I've carried a SwissTool for decades. It's the only multitool I trust. The Spirit MX has a great set of tools, and the file is surprisingly good for metal. $121 is a fair price for something that'll outlast you. Just make sure you need those extra functions.
