Hey everyone, I've got a DeWalt 20V max drill that's been acting up. When I pull the trigger, it spins for a second or two then just stops. Battery is fully charged. Any ideas?

Could be the battery contacts are dirty. Try cleaning them with a bit of alcohol. Also check if the battery clicks in properly. Sometimes the tabs wear out.

Mine did that once and it was the carbon brushes. If you hear a grinding noise, that's probably it. Easy fix if you can get to them.

I'd also check the trigger switch - they can fail internally. If you're handy, you can test it with a multimeter. But if it's out of warranty, might be cheaper to buy a new drill than replace the switch.

Thanks y'all. I'll check the brushes first since it does sound a bit grindy. Appreciate the help!
