Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick safety tip: always wear gloves when using pliers. I learned the hard way yesterday while twisting some wire—got a nasty pinch and a blister. Now I'm a believer in PPE! What gloves do you all recommend for plier work?

Ouch, been there! I usually just grab the cheapest leather gloves from the hardware store. They hold up okay for light stuff. But if you're doing a lot of gripping, maybe invest in a pair with reinforced palms. Anyone tried those mechanic's gloves?

I second the mechanic's gloves. I got a pair from Harbor Freight for like $10 and they've lasted me months. Definitely save your hands from cuts and pinches. Also, make sure they fit snug—loose gloves can get caught in the jaws.

Good call on the gloves! I also wear safety glasses when cutting wire with pliers—those little snips can fly. And for really tough jobs, I use pliers with dipped handles for extra grip. Stay safe out there!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check out those mechanic's gloves. And yeah, safety glasses are a must—I always keep a pair on my bench. Happy DIYing!
