Hey guys, I've got a Ryobi 1800 PSI battery pressure washer. It's only a few months old but suddenly the battery won't charge. Plug it in, light stays red forever. Tried different outlets, no luck. Anyone else had this? Is it the battery or the charger?

Had a similar issue with my DeWalt. Turned out the battery terminals were dirty. Try cleaning them with a dry cloth or a little rubbing alcohol. Also check if the charger has a reset button - some do. If not, could be a dead cell in the battery.

I'd check the fuse in the plug first! My dad's pressure washer stopped charging cuz a fuse blew. Easy fix. Also, sometimes the charger just dies. If you have a multimeter, test the output voltage. Otherwise, see if you can borrow a friend's charger to rule it out.

Before you buy anything, try the freezer trick. Put the battery in a sealed bag in the freezer for an hour, then let it warm up and charge. Worked for my old drill battery. But if it's under warranty, just get a replacement from Ryobi. Their customer service is pretty good.

Thanks everyone! Tried cleaning the terminals and checked the fuse - all good. Tried the freezer trick and it actually worked! Battery is charging now. Guess it was just a weird glitch. Appreciate the help!
