Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new pressure washer for around the house. I've narrowed it down to either a DeWalt or a Makita, both around 3000 PSI. I mostly need it for cleaning my deck, siding, and maybe the car. Any thoughts on which brand is better? I've seen good reviews for both but can't decide. Help a weekend warrior out!

I've used both on job sites. DeWalt is a solid choice, but Makita has better build quality in my experience. The Makita pumps seem to last longer under heavy use. If you're only using it occasionally, DeWalt is fine and often cheaper. But if you want something that'll take a beating, go Makita. Just my 2 cents.

I'm a Makita girl through and through. Their tools never let me down. I've had my Makita pressure washer for 3 years and it's still going strong. DeWalt is okay, but I find their pressure washers a bit clunky. Plus, Makita's customer service is top-notch. #TeamMakita

Before you buy, check the safety features! Make sure it has a GFCI on the cord and a good trigger lock. Also, consider the nozzle types – you want a variety for different tasks. As for brand, I'd lean towards DeWalt because their parts are easier to find locally if something breaks. But honestly, both are decent. Just don't point it at your feet!

Thanks for the input, everyone! I think I'm leaning towards Makita based on Sarah and Wendy's comments. But Sam, good call on the safety features – I'll double-check that. I'll let you know what I end up getting and how it works out.
