Hey guys, looking to upgrade my pressure washer for home use. I’m torn between the DeWalt 3400 PSI and the Makita 3600 PSI models. Anyone have experience with either? I mostly clean driveways and decks.

I’ve used both on job sites. DeWalt’s pump is solid but Makita has better pressure consistency. For home use, either is overkill but Makita has a nicer hose and the trigger lock is smoother. DeWalt parts are easier to find though.

Safety first - make sure whatever you get has a thermal relief valve and GFCI. I’ve seen too many guys mess up their pumps running it too long. Honestly, both brands are good but check the warranty. Makita has a longer pump warranty.

I’d go Makita if you want lower maintenance. The axial cam pump is easier to service. DeWalt uses a wobble pump that can be finicky. Also, Makita’s pressure hose is thicker. But if you already have DeWalt batteries for other tools, get the DeWalt cordless one - it’s sweet for quick jobs.

Thanks guys! I’m leaning Makita now. The warranty and pump quality sold me. I’ll grab the 3600 model and skip the cordless since I don’t have DeWalt batts. Appreciate the help!
