Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new pressure washer for around the house. I've narrowed it down to the DeWalt DWPW2100 and the Makita XRW2100. Both are around 2100 PSI. I need something reliable for cleaning driveways, decks, and maybe some light car washing. Any advice? I've heard good things about both, but not sure which one to pull the trigger on.

I'd go with the DeWalt. I've had mine for two years and it's been solid. Parts are cheaper if something breaks. The Makita is nice but more expensive for the same specs. Save your cash for accessories. Just my 2 cents.

I've used both. The Makita has a slightly better motor and the build feels more premium. However, the DeWalt is easier to service and the trigger gun is more comfortable. If you're a weekend warrior like me, you can't go wrong with either. I'd pick the one that's on sale.

Good points. I saw the DeWalt is on sale at Home Depot right now, actually. Bob, have you had any issues with the pressure hose kinking? I read some reviews complaining about that.

Not really, but I replaced the stock hose with a rubber one from Amazon. It's a cheap upgrade and totally worth it. The stock one is fine for light use but if you do a lot, get a better hose.
