Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between a DeWalt and Makita pressure washer for light to medium duty around the house. I've got about $300 to spend. I see the DeWalt 3400 PSI model on sale for $250 and the Makita 3300 PSI for $280. Anyone have experience with either? I want something that lasts but I'm on a budget.

Go Makita, no question. I've used both and the Makita just feels better built. The pump is more reliable and parts are easier to find. DeWalt is good but Makita is for pros. You'll thank me later.

I've been using DeWalt for years on my renovation jobs. They take a beating and keep going. The one you're looking at has a Honda engine, which is a big plus. For $50 less, I'd say DeWalt is the better deal. Just make sure to flush the pump after use.

Thanks for the input! Will, I've heard good things about Makita too. But Dan, you're saying the DeWalt holds up on job sites? That's reassuring. I think I'll go with the DeWalt and save the $30 for some detergent. Appreciate the help!
