Hey all, I'm torn between the DeWalt DWPW2400 (2400 PSI) and the Makita XRW01Z (1800 PSI, cordless). I do a lot of deck cleaning and car washing. Any advice? I like the portability of the Makita but worried about power. Thanks!

I've used both. DeWalt has way more grunt for stripping paint and heavy dirt. But the Makita is nice if you don't want to mess with a hose and extension cord. For decks, I'd go DeWalt. For a quick car wash, Makita. What's your main use?

I'm on a budget so DeWalt is cheaper per PSI. But Makita batteries are expensive if you don't already have them. Check the price of a spare battery! Also, cordless ones tend to lack flow rate. I'd go corded if you're doing serious work.

Good points. Mostly deck cleaning and some fence work. So sounds like the DeWalt is better. I'll pick up the DeWalt on sale. Thanks guys!
