Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up a pressure washer for cleaning my deck and driveway. I've narrowed it down to the DeWalt DXPW3425C and the Makita PW2100. Both are around the same price. Anyone have experience with either? I want something that will last.

I've used both. DeWalt has slightly higher PSI but Makita has better build quality. Check the pump material - Dewalt uses axial cam pump, Makita uses wobble plate. Wobble plate is easier to maintain but axial cam is more durable. Also, Makita's motor is brushless, Dewalt is not.

For heavy use, I'd go Makita. I've got the PW2100 on my truck for jobsites. It's been dead reliable for 2 years. The DeWalt I had before crapped out after 6 months. Plus Makita has a 3-year warranty vs 1-year for Dewalt. Spend the extra $50.

I agree with Larry. Makita all the way. I have the PW2100 for home use and it's a beast. The pressure is consistent and it starts every time. DeWalt might have higher max PSI but the Makita has better flow rate (GPM) which matters more for cleaning. Also check the hose length - Makita has 50ft vs DeWalt's 35ft.

Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like Makita is the way to go. I'll keep an eye out for a sale. Appreciate the help!
