Hey folks, I'm in the market for a new pressure washer for my renovation projects. I've been leaning towards either the DeWalt or Makita, but I'm torn. I need something that can handle heavy-duty cleaning like stripping paint and cleaning concrete. What's your experiences with these brands? Any tips would be appreciated!

I've got a collection of both, honestly. DeWalt tends to be more powerful out of the box, but Makita has this smooth start motor that's just a dream. If you're doing serious stripping, I'd go with the DeWalt, but don't ignore the Makita's reliability. Also, check the warranty - that's a game changer.

I restore old cars, so I've put mine through the wringer. I gotta say, Makita's been my go-to. The pressure is consistent and the build feels sturdier. Had a DeWalt that leaked after a year, but maybe I got a dud. Whatever you pick, invest in a good nozzle set - makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the input! I'm leaning towards Makita now, but I'm worried about parts availability. Do you guys know if they're easy to find for repairs?

Yeah, Makita has a solid network, at least here. And their service is top-notch. I had a pump issue last summer, got it sorted in a week. With DeWalt, I've heard mixed stories. All good, just do your research.
