Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new pressure washer for cleaning my deck and driveway. I've narrowed it down to DeWalt and Makita. I've always been a DeWalt fan for my tools, but I've heard good things about Makita's washers too. Any advice? I'm looking for something reliable with good pressure and not too heavy.

Dude, go with DeWalt hands down! I've had my DeWalt pressure washer for over 2 years now, and it's been a beast. It starts every time, the pressure is insane, and it's built like a tank. I've used it on my driveway, my siding, even my car. Never had a single issue. Plus, you can't beat that yellow and black - it's a looker! You won't be disappointed.

I've used both professionally on renovation sites, and honestly, they're both solid. But if I had to pick, I'd lean Makita for the overall build quality and the way it handles water flow. The Makita has a slightly higher PSI in some models, and the pump seems to last longer under heavy use. That said, DeWalt has better customer service if you ever need parts. It's a close call. What's your budget and what are you mainly power washing?

I'm not a pro, but I've done a ton of woodworking and deck cleaning. I went with Makita because I found a great deal on it, but I've never regretted it. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and the nozzles are easy to switch. The only thing is, the warranty process might be a pain if something goes wrong. But so far, so good. Just make sure you get one with a good hose, because the stock one can be a bit short.
