Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new pressure washer. I've narrowed it down to Dewalt and Makita. I mostly do woodworking and need to clean my deck and driveway, maybe some siding. I want something reliable that won't break after a season. Any of you guys have experience with either? I'm looking at the 3000 PSI models.

I went through this exact dilemma last year. I ended up going with the Dewalt because I found a good deal on it, but honestly, they're both solid. The Makita tends to have a bit better build quality, but the Dewalt has more accessories available. If you're on a budget, watch for sales. I got my Dewalt for $150 off during a holiday sale.

Check the warranty and parts availability. Makita has a longer warranty on some models, but Dewalt is more common in stores, so parts are easier to find if you need them. Also, think about the hose and wand quality. I've heard Makita's hose is more flexible and less likely to kink. But for the price, Dewalt is hard to beat.

I own both (I have a problem, I know). The Makita is quieter and seems to run smoother. The Dewalt has slightly higher pressure, but you really can't tell the difference. If you plan to use it a lot, I'd say Makita. If you're a casual user, save your money and get the Dewalt. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
